The Winter Weekend is a fun chance for all to get out in the hills and enjoy the views, without having to camp in the cold and rain. Saturday's programme is a walk around Snowdonia, with the troop split into 3 groups. The advanced group took a more difficult route, covering more distance than the other two, but all three groups got soaked by the constant driving rain!

On Sunday we visited Llechwedd Slate Caverns and went on the miners' tramway tour. This was an exciting insite into Victorian life in the mines. At the end of the trip, we were shown how the large slabs of slate were turned into the individual tiles that you see roofing houses all around the area.
