On Friday night we were dropped off at a Scout Campsite in Gradbach. We camped
over night in hike tents. They unfortunately broke in the wind whilst we were
putting them up and taking them down. In the morning we set off with new
replacements heading towards Cumberland Cottage. We stopped for lunch at the
Cat & Fiddle Pub. We then carried on to our overnight camping area, Cumberland
Cottage. The hike was 10 miles long and was very enjoyable. We stayed overnight
cooking pasta and freezing in the wind. On Sunday morning we set off back home.
The walk was 2 miles shorter but had alot more climing. The first and hardest hill
was Shutlins Low. Then a walk through Macclesfield Forrest and back to the hut.
