We set off from the Scout Hut just after lunch on Sunday 25th July, over 50 people ready for a trip of a lifetime to Kandersteg International Scout Centre Switzerland. Upon leaving the hut we travelled down the M1 stopping off at a couple of service stations along the way heading to our ferry crossing from Dover. The ferry crossing was a tiny bit on the rough side with a few hats and neckers flying off into the English Channel en-route
most of the group were entertained exploring the ferry and shops, However, some of the Ventures did find an alternative activity { See Left }.
After the crossing, including a short sleep, we set off again in the coach, ready for a full day heading across Europe to our first overnight stay at Baden Baden, Germany.
On the way back from Kandersteg two weeks later we travelled via a different route and stopped off for the night in Rheims.
Back to Kandersteg
